ASUU LASU Chapter Suspends Strike, Lectures Resume 13 August 2025.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Lagos State University (LASU) Chapter, has suspended its strike action after reaching an agreement with the LASU management.
The suspension was announced today after the chapter’s congress meeting, where members resolved to put academic activities back on track following discussions with the Lagos State Government.
As a result, lectures, practicals, and other academic engagements will recommence on Wednesday, 13 August 2025.
The Lagos State Government, in response, expressed appreciation to the lecturers for prioritising the academic future of students and assured that steps are being taken to address all pending issues raised by the union.
Students are encouraged to return to campus early and prepare ahead for the resumption of full academic activities.
