• JAMB will only offer you admission after ABU has recommended your name on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

1. ABU Merit Admission List

ABU Merit admission list is also known as ABU First Batch Admission list, and it contains the names of candidates with the highest JAMB and departmental aggregate score.

2. Second, Third Batch and Supplementary list

ABU second, third, and supplementary admission lists contain names of candidates who:

• Did not upload their O’Level results early
• Did not meet ABU merit cut-off mark
• Were narrowly omitted during the first batch of admissions
• Have been offered admission through VC list

3. VC admission list

During the 2025 JAMB Policy Meeting, JAMB stated that VC Admission list is illegal but still operational in Nigeria.

However, before any university can use the 10% exemption mode, it must first admit 90% of students through the standard admission process.

This means that ABU VC Admission List is usually the last to be released.

2. Proceed to pay ABU 2025 admission acceptance fee online or at designated banks.
3. Print and download your 2025 ABU and JAMB admission letter online
4. Secure an accommodation (Either pay for a bed space in the school hostel (if available) or get an off-campus accommodation early enough)
5. Get all 2025 ABU physical screening documents ready. These include: Original JAMB result slip, ABU Post UTME registration slip, Birth certificate or age declaration, Certificate of origin, Attestation or reference letters, JAMB/ABU admission letter.
